This blog/magazine/twitter feed never ceases to make my day :)  So many REALLY GREAT ideas of ways to make life easier, save money, or make really delicious food.  These are a few of my favorites from a recent posting entitled "52 new ways to use old things".

Happy Birthday to me!

My birthday was on the 18th and boy did I have a good one :)  

These were from my husband :)  They're all from Etsy, but I don't know where so you may have to do some snooping to find them.

Holy oilcloth!  This is from my in-laws :)  Roughly 2 1/2 yards of TOTALLY GORGEOUS oilcloth :)  

Heavy weight cotton that was also from my in-laws.  These gifts were also from Etsy, but again, I don't know from which shop.

Can I get an amen?  First of all, if you sew and do not own a magnetic pin cushion— kick yourself.  It makes life A MILLION times easier.  Second, if you sew and do not own a pair of Gingher scissors—kick yourself twice.  I know they are pricey, but they are well worth the investment because they will last FOREVER and the only thing you have to pay for is to have them sharpened once in a while :)  These lovelies were from my sisters in a basket full of many other sewing goodies :)

And to all the people who gave me money, thank you for helping me get my new sewing machine!  It came in today and I have been sewing all evening and making lovely things :)

I'm pretty sure this makes me a Jedi

Have you ever seen this dumb advertisement online before?

It's on weheartit ALL THE TIME and I seriously sat and stared at it until I could control which way the ballerina seemed to be spinning.  I got to the point where I could flip back and forth between my right brain and my left (given that the test is in any way accurate).  I'm pretty sure that makes me either a Jedi, a member of MENSA, or means that I need to see a doctor.  I haven't decided which.

Day Dreaming

Often when I have free time my mind wanders to what our home will be like when we move to Kansas City.  In my lovely little dream world we have a relatively spacious apartment with plenty of room to settle in :)  Here are some things that are inspiring me.  All images found on weheartit except for the first, which I have no source for.

Oh my.  I hope we have big windows.  That would be most wonderful.
